A quality repair job involves many steps and though our estimators are among the industry’s finest, certain types of damage become apparent only after areas of the home are demolished. In some cases, we may need to revise your home’s completion date. But rest assured, we know how important your home is to you.
We pledge to keep you informed all along the way, and we promise to complete your repairs as quickly as possible without a compromise in quality. This commitment has contributed to the success of PURO-TEC PROPERTY RESTORATION.
Step 1: Prepare an Estimate & Estimate Approval
In some cases, you may already have an estimate prepared by your insurance carrier. If an estimate has already been prepared, our estimator can review the estimate for accuracy. If not, our estimator will inspect your loss, document the damage, and prepare an estimate. In any event, an estimate approved by your insurance carrier must be accomplished prior to beginning the repair process.
Step 2: Work Authorization & Project Manager Assigned
Before we can begin repairs, a work authorization allowing us to work on the property must be executed. As a registered contractor in your state, our company complies with all home improvement contractor laws. One of our professional and experienced project managers will be assigned to handle your repair process with three goals in mind: ease of repairs, timely repairs, and quality control.
Step 3: Repairs are Scheduled
Our project manager will discuss a convenient time for your home to be repaired. Approximate start and approximate completion dates will be discussed based on your schedule and scope of repairs. As repairs begin, we will often find additional or “hidden damage” discovered.
Step 4: Supplement Estimate Prepared & Approved (if necessary)
This estimate is prepared to cover any additional or “hidden damage” that may be discovered once the repairs have begun. Remember, wear & tear and damage not caused by the original loss are often not covered by insurance. The insurance carrier must authorize the costs of the additional damage, which may put the repairs on hold. A change order will be required before the additional damage is repaired, which may alter the repair completion date.
Step 5: Repairs Continue & Finishing Touches
The repairs will continue unless the need for a second supplement is required. This is not typical on smaller repairs but is a possibility on a larger project. As the repairs are near completion, a “punch list” will be created with your assistance. Once agreed to, the list will outline all small items or “touch ups” that need to be completed to bring the project to 100% completion and your satisfaction. This list always includes a post construction final cleaning.
Step 6:
PURO-TEC PROPERTY RESTORATION is dedicated to client satisfaction. Once repairs are completed, final paperwork will then be completed, which in most cases is required by your insurance carrier and/or mortgage company to issue final payment. Our staff will walk you through this process each step of the way.
We are a full service general contractor who has completed many projects including custom new home construction projects.
